It’s the most wonderful time of the year… except for our skin. Harsh winter weather takes a toll on our skin and can leave it feeling dry, dull, and lifeless. No need to lose hope! We’ve got you covered this season with our best tips to bring your skin back to its glowing glory.

STAY HYDRATED

You might not think you feel thirsty but your skin does. It’s easy to forget to take a sip of water during the busiest time of the season. Warm drinks like teas are an amazing way to keep your body hydrated while keeping those cozy feels.

WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN

We’ve all heard this one before. “The sun isn’t as strong in the winter so you don’t need sunscreen.” We can’t tell you how wrong that is. Stick to a sunscreen with at least SPF30 and make sure to reapply throughout the day as needed. The sun’s UV rays may work hard but our sunscreen reapplication works harder.

LIMIT SHOWER TIME

Time to cut back on those 30-minute showers. We love a steamy shower as much as the next person but this is a fast-track way of depriving your skin of moisture and its natural oils.

CLEANSE CAREFULLY

Choose a gentle nourishing cleanser that will protect your skin’s barrier while nourishing throughout. Our RSkinBar Chamomile Cleanser  uses essential oils to calm and soothe the skin while reducing redness and irritation.

EXFOLIATE

Moisturizers are only great if they’re able to penetrate through. Exfoliation assists in buffing away dead skin while allowing new ones to regenerate. Those who suffer from keratosis pilaris would benefit tremendously from an in-shower scrub like our RSkinBar Papaya Mint Body Scrub.

MOISTURIZE

The first thing you should be reaching for out of the shower is a natural moisturizer. A firming cream like the SkinCeuticals Body Tightening Concentrate  works as an extra bonus for smoothing and tightening all over.

Schedule an in-person consultation at one of our locations and revive your skin in time for the holidays!
