How Does It Work?

After your initial consultation in our Lynnfield, MA office, your NeoGen appointment will begin by cleansing and disinfecting the targeted treatment area. The NeoGen tool will then be used to heat your skin's surface — you will feel the nitrogen plasma conducting heat as your body warms up. This procedure, sometimes known as a "non-surgical blepharoplasty", is gentle and safe enough to use even around sensitive areas such as the eyelids with no potential harm to the cornea underneath. As the treatment heats up your skin, this non-ablative process catalyzes your body's natural collagen production without destroying any of your already healthy cells, resulting in a rejuvenated, fresh appearance to the skin.

What Should I Expect After Neogen?

After your NeoGen treatment, you can expect some redness, flushing, and hyperpigmentation to appear. These symptoms may increase in the 5 – 7 days following treatment, as your newly-stimulated cells rebalance and re-regulate themselves. By a week following your treatment, any extra redness should have evened out, but be sure to avoid direct sun exposure and apply sunscreen with a minimum of 40 SPF following treatment. As your skin rejuvenates, you may find it dryer than normal and might find the application of a heavy or rich moisturizer to help soothe your skin's surface.
