How Is A Y Lift Performed?

The Y LIFT is performed a little bit differently than the other nonsurgical facelift techniques. It provides similarly stunning results. After injecting the marked treatment areas, Dr. Sandhu will insert a very long, fine needle deeply into your skin (at the cheekbone and the jawline) all the way under the muscle. She will then inject a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid like JUVÉDERM® or VOLUMA™. Dr. Sandhu will mold and sculpt your facial muscles, fascia, and fat as they are lifted into a more desirable position. The Y LIFT takes her about 30 minutes to perform.

During the first day or so after treatment, you may experience minor swelling or soreness in the treatment area. However, we perform a facial massage a few days after treatment, which often helps with the swelling. Despite these minor side effects, you should be able to return to work and other normal activities immediately following the appointment.
