About NS Facelifts

Surgical facelifts can be intimidating as the incisions, scarring, and significantly lengthy downtime necessary for a facelift definitely aren’t for everyone. Revive the youthful contour to your face with our nonsurgical facelift techniques with polydioxanone (PDO) thread lifts. Sculpt your facial appearance with no cutting and no general anesthesia. Neem Medical Spa, led by board-certified internal medicine physician Dr. Rosy Sandhu, creates unparalleled beauty with her nonsurgical facelifts. These lifts can be secured in the neck area and along the jawline. The technique can also be modified to treat sagging skin around the eyes, forehead, mid-face, and mouth. In some cases, we may offer the use of thread lifts for the abdomen, arms, and thighs.

Your face will look years younger and rejuvenated. Our patients, men and women who love BOTOX injections or other cosmetic wrinkle relaxers or fillers, may benefit from these techniques as well. We would love to talk to you about these impressive new methods. Call today and schedule your consultation in Somerville, Lynnfield, or Winchester, MA.

Client Testimonials

Y Lift

The Y LIFT has become known as the "lunch-time facelift." The secret to the Y LIFT is the careful and precise placement of hyaluronic acid fillers, which lifts and adds volume the skin to produce a younger appearance. At Neem Medical Spa, Dr. Sandhu is the exclusive provider of Y LIFT treatments. She was personally trained by Dr. Yan Trokel, the creator of this revolutionary procedure, and is the only certified Y LIFT specialist in the Boston, MA area.

PDO Thread Lift

Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are similar to what is used for sutures during medical procedures. Our PDO ThreadLift ignites collagen stimulation processes within your skin to add volume and support. This technique can improve sagging on the face and body precipitated by aging or weight loss. To see results, you may need only one PDO ThreadLift treatment initially. You may need follow-up treatments after 2 – 3 years. It may take up to six months to see the final result via your body’s natural healing process.

Silhouette InstaLift

The Silhouette InstaLift is another type of minimally invasive, in-office procedure by Dr. Sandhu to recontour your mid-face by lifting the deeper layers of your skin for a more youthful appearance. Once threaded into your face, the unique Silhouette InstaLift sutures will naturally be absorbed by your body over time and induce the production of collagen to aid in healthy skin renewal.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

Thread lifts, no matter which one you select or how many you need for the treatment to work, are ideal for individuals who:

  • Want to look younger
  • Do not wish to have surgery or the downtime of a conventional facelift
  • Have lax skin in the cheeks, neck, or jawline
  • Would like to diminish facial folds such as marionette lines and tear troughs

Dr. Sandhu's thread lifts are facial rejuvenation treatments that can be customized to match your personal cosmetic goals. If you want to refresh your facial appearance without surgery, our thread lifts at Neem Medical Spa might be right for you. If you are considering a PDO thread lift, Silhouette InstaLift, or Y LIFT, we invite you to schedule a consultation with Dr. Sandhu in order to determine if you are a good candidate.

Treatment Technique

Y LIFT
The Y LIFT is performed a little bit differently than the other nonsurgical facelift techniques. It provides similarly stunning results. After injecting the marked treatment areas, Dr. Sandhu will insert a very long, fine needle deeply into your skin (at the cheekbone and the jawline) all the way under the muscle. She will then inject a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid like Juvéderm or Voluma. Dr. Sandhu will mold and sculpt your facial muscles, fascia, and fat as they are lifted into a more desirable position. The Y LIFT takes her about 30 minutes to perform.

During the first day or so after treatment, you may experience minor swelling or soreness in the treatment area. However, we perform a facial massage a few days after treatment, which often helps with the swelling. Despite these minor side effects, you should be able to return to work and other normal activities immediately following the appointment.

PDO ThreadLifts
In 45 minutes at any Neem Medical Spa, you can make a dramatic impact on your facial skin. Dr. Sandhu can administer a local anesthetic in the treatment areas to keep you comfortable. All PDO threads are prepared in needles that are preloaded with a polydioxanone suture, which is then injected into the skin. After Dr. Sandhu marks your skin for precise placement, the sutures are placed through the tissues of the face and neck and pulled to reposition the skin. This will provide lift and support. These sutures are some of the safest materials that can be implanted in the body, and they are actually also used for cardiothoracic surgery or open-heart surgery. The skin absorbs the sutures, and they dissolve within 4 – 6 months. During that time, collagen is produced by the body, which helps to repair skin, as well as lift and tighten it. If there are leftover threads from the treatment, then they will be cut off.

You may see an immediate lift after the treatment, but there is also a gradual improvement over time. Your optimal results will be visible a few months following the procedure. Fortunately, there is no downtime required for our PDO ThreadLifts, but you may experience some tenderness, bruising, and swelling afterward for up to three days.

Silhouette InstaLift
The Silhouette InstaLift sutures are placed similarly to the PDO ThreadLifts. A local anesthetic is injected into the treatment area if necessary. Dr. Sandu will mark your face for the number of sutures needed. The difference between the PDO ThreadLift and the Silhouette is that the sutures are equipped with bi-directional cones underneath your skin, which will help elevate facial ptosis and initiate collagen production. Again, if there are leftover sutures after the Silhouette InstaLift, they will be pulled tight and then cut off.

What to expect

Did you know that the recovery for a traditional facelift typically takes about two weeks (with full recovery up to a year) at times for plastic surgery patients? While the benefits of a traditional facelift include a rewarding and youthful appearance, many men and women stray away from the procedure because of its’ higher cost and recovery time, as well as the pain associated with recovery.

During your consultation, Dr. Sandhu may recommend combining a nonsurgical facelift with our other skin rejuvenation treatments to meet your aesthetic goals, such as:

  • Strategically placed dermal fillers and wrinkle relaxers
  • Nonsurgical skin tightening
  • Facial rejuvenation treatments (facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, and more)

Keep in mind that every patient has his or her own timeline for how the skin responds to the treatment performed. Dr. Sandhu will do her best to help you maintain the look for as long as the treatment allows.
